What: Laurence Nugent workshop on the Irish flute and tin whistle.
When: 2:00 - 3:30PM
Where: Wee Ceili Room, Tualatin (call or email for the address)
Admission: $35, maximum enrollment 10 (if more than 10, workshop will be ½ hr longer!)
Additional information: This workshop is for people wishing to learn more about playing Irish music on the flute and tin whistle in a traditional way. Whether you are a master, novice or somewhere-in-between, knowing what to practice is key. This ongoing discovery can be helped by an experienced teacher. Laurence is a virtuoso flute and whistle player. His music has a clear melodic quality that only the most grounded and accomplished musician can convey. Laurence's workshops focus on the fundamentals: breath, ornamentation, phrasing, and rhythm. Laurence can help each player through the many challenges found in playing this music. and get some last minute pointers on your piece in a supportive environment.
It's absolutely FREE! A piano will be available if you are able to bring your accompanist.
